100 Joint Personnel Guard Tanah Abang Area

As many as 100 joint personnel of Satpol PP, TNI/Polri, and Transportation Agency are deployed to Tanah Abang. It is aimed to anticipate chaos and traffic jam due to the increase in the number of visitors at the end of the month of Ramadan at Tanah Abang shopping center, Central Jakarta.

Personnel are spread into several prone areas in Tanah Abang

Central Jakarta Satpol PP Field Coordinator, Asep Nasrudin, said the personnel will guard the area up to one day after Eid ul Fitr.

Apart from anticipating chaos and traffic jam, the presence of personnel are also expected to increase the sense of security and comfort of people carrying out activities in the area.

"Personnel are spread into several prone areas in Tanah Abang," he said, Sunday (3/31).

According to him, the personnel have been deployed since Thursday (3/28) ago.

Hundreds of personnel are deployed to in front of Tanah Abang Blok A, Blok B, Blok F, Jatibaru 2, and Blok G's curve. His side also deploys mobile team to patrol the area.

"It is hoped the personnel are able to handle the situation," he added.

Tanah Abang Sub-district's Transportation Implementer Unit Head, Dandung, stated his side also deployed 10 personnel to guard Tanah Abang. They are focused at Jatibaru, Blok A and Blok B Tanah Abang.

"We appeal the personnel to anticipate traffic jam, especially vehicles parked on roadside," he stated.
